Back from Naropa
Back from my crazy summer, yes indeed it has been WILD! The Phillpiines, online teaching and the SWP Conference at Naropa in Boulder, Co. Highlight--diving two wrecks, unspoiled corals, five days alone to write, explore and find myself, coming home to my daughter and amazing partner, and being grateful for community. I live a truly blessed life.

A Little Good News
Ok. So not the end of the world— Bent Pin Quarterly and the Horseless Review are publishing my work this Spring. And I am officially headed to Naropa! What the hell, I might just apply to Squaw Valley while I'm at it. I think I have till May.
The First Week
Ok. I just finished my first week of classes. So far, I have received one formal complaint and one threatening phone call from a student(s). What is the world coming to? When I was a teenager, at 7:00 PM. on Saturday night, I would have been getting ready to go out with friends. I guess my students will no longer get a phone number for emergencies, which is unfortunate because not all my students have home internet access—My liberal ass gets bitten once again.

Blogging for...
My daughter is sick, I have essays to grade and I have just started my first blog. 3:00p.m. and the day is almost over, dishes pile the sink; I have decided not to vacuum. I sat down to write, revise, or lie to myself, sometimes the latter is almost always true. I will post soon.
